All the obvious magic you will learn in twelve weeks!

Obvious Magic is a great meditation class both for beginners and experienced meditators. During twelve weeks we will go on an epic adventure! Adventure of discovering who you truly are.

You will learn the science behind how meditation works, and how your body and mind can benefit from consistent meditation practice. We will learn how to be kind and not take life so seriously every day 😊

We are all very different, and gravitate towards various music, food, video games or exercise. And that’s why in this class we introduce quite a few meditation techniques – so you can find your own practice, the one that you will enjoy and will want to practice every day. We will learn many different tools and ways you can meditate, from mindfulness and loving-kindness to working with energy and mindful movements exercises of Qigong.

Like-minded community is one of the pillars of a sustainable life-long spiritual growth. And that’s why we will be practicing in a safe and kind environment with other curious students just like you, under guidance of an experienced teacher, who is always here to support and inspire you! Hopefully these new relationships will blossom into friendships in these three months.

Week 1

What is Meditation. What is Mindfulness. 🧘‍♂️

What we will learn during our first class:
  • Stressed and unhappy? Meditation can help – it’s science!
  • You are an expert time traveler, but is it good for you?
  • I broke my leg, I’m so lucky!
  • Meditation and mindfulness are not the same.
  • Attitudes and qualities of meditation.
  • Informal meditation: try meditating when ordering a coffee!
  • Physics tells us time doesn’t exist. Your boss doesn’t agree. Let’s create more of it.
Tools and skills we will practice:
  1. “Cat and mouse” meditation;
  2. Raisin mindfulness meditation;
  3. Time blocking technique.

Week 2

Mind and Body Connection ♾

In this class you will learn about:
  • What’s the last time you were grateful for your calves?
  • Society is a bulldozer that loves to trample your self-esteem.
  • Mindfulness and concentration, what’s the catch?
  • This is the only body you got. What is it saying?
  • Hey, Mind, let me introduce Body to you. Hey, Body, meet Mind.
  • Learning to listen to the body with Body Scan Meditation.

Week 3

The Power of Intentions 🌟

In this class you will learn about:
  • Feeling guilty for not reaching your goals? You don’t have to!
  • The real horsepower behind our achievements and failures.
  • Hello Universe! It’s me, a magic intention. I’m here to create.
  • Planting the seed of your intention.
  • Can you even trust your senses? Definitely not!
  • Take off your conditioning glasses to see more clearly.
  • May I have more neurons please? Neural Plasticity.
  • Pleasant events are all around you, just look.
Tools and skills we will practice:
  1. Body Scan meditation;
  2. Planting the seed of intention meditation;
  3. Journaling pleasant events.

Week 4

Mindful Movement and Breath Meditation 🌫

In this class you will learn about:
  • Don’t like exercising? Let’s try energizing!
  • Body Scan in motion – meet Qigong.
  • Why even meditate?
  • What to do with your body when you sit down to meditate.
  • Do you know you are breathing?
  • Is there a right way to breathe?
  • What to do with your mind when you sit down to meditate.
  • Shit happened. Let’s take a closer look at it.
Tools and skills we will practice:
  1. Qigong;
  2. Breath Meditation;
  3. Journaling unpleasant events.

Week 5

Stress 😓

In this class you will learn about:
  • What a tribe of baboons can teach us about stress.
  • Stress: a threat or a challenge?
  • Revolutionary new way of dealing with stress – embrace it.
  • Remember creating more time? We can also create more space!
  • Creative ways to be angry, worried, and anxious.
  • How to structure your meditation sits.
Tools and skills we will practice:
  1. Qigong;
  2. 3-minute breathing S P A C E;
  3. Setting intentions;
  4. Making agreements with your mind;
  5. Structuring our meditation sits;
  6. Breath meditation.

Week 6

Loving-Kindness (Metta) 💛

In this class you will learn about:
  • Let’s talk about heartfulness.
  • Love: As seen on TV.
  • Love: As seen with your heart.
  • What if I told you, you are “average”?
  • Round 1: Self-compassion VS Self-esteem. Self-esteem wins!
  • You deserve to be happy.
  • What do you want to hear?
  • Metta meditation benefits and practice.
  • Good morning Mirror!

Week 7

Review ⏪

In this class we will review all the skills and techniques we have learned so far and check in with our progress.

Week 8

Metta for Others 🧸

In this class we will learn about:
  • May I be happy. May we all be happy!
  • Rainbow of compassion.
  • Can you wish well to difficult people?
  • Let’s learn how to listen. Let’s learn how to hear.
  • There once was a man with a peashooter.
  • Why listening is better than talking.
Tools and skills we will practice:
  1. Breath Meditation;
  2. Metta Meditation.

Week 9

Difficult Emotions ☔

In this class we will learn about:
  • Life is full of suffering. But there are peanut butter M&Ms and Netflix, so I’m good.
  • The power of RAIN.
  • Name it and you tame it. Recognizing difficult emotions and feelings.
  • You are in an open field and the rain is about to start. What do you do?
  • Let’s locate emotions in the body!
  • Soothing and softening our bodies and minds.
  • My anxiety came over yesterday and we became friends. It talks a lot!
  • The importance of being kind to ourselves.

  1. Smile body scan;
  2. RAIN Meditation.

Week 10

Walking Meditation. Psychic Meditation. ⚡

In this class we will learn about:
  • Step by step: Walking Meditation.
  • There is nowhere to go, so keep going.
  • Energy creates life. You create energy.
  • There is something in your head! It’s a gold ball and it’s growing!
  • Trust your intuition much? Strengthen your intuition and seniority by taking ownership of your life.
  • Visualization meditation as a source of knowingness and authority.
  • Building trust with ourselves.

  1. Walking Meditation;
  2. Gold ball meditation.

Week 11

Grounding. Running Earth Energy. 🌳

In this class we will learn about:
  • Be grounded. Be in charge of your life.
  • Is there a place for me on this planet? Am I enough? Yes and Yes!
  • Chakras: myth, legends and what we do know.
  • Root chakra – your physical survival energy center.
  • Earth’s energy is your energy – take what you need.
  • Dealing with difficult emotions by grounding your space.

  2. Grounding Meditation.

Week 12

In this class we will learn about:
